Hello

I am trying DreamWidth for blogging and sharing my creations.

One of my goals after I retired from software development in 2017 was to see if I could learn to paint with watercolors. I took some classes and have gained an appreciation for the medium. I will post my works in progress.

I will also post items of interest in space exploration.

Other posts will be my musings on my personal life which may be at times political. I will attempt to limit the audience on those.

One nice thing about DreamWidth is being able to tag a post and organize them. I will still use the more popular social media platforms because that's where most of my family and friends are. But I plan to do my primary posts here and crosspost there.

Goals for 2021

I am listing my goals for 2021 so I can focus my activities on these goals and not get distracted as often:

1. Enjoy life/Be happy - The To Do list will always be there.  One outing or activity per week that is just fun or relaxing
2. Learn ASL – Become fluent in fingerspelling; learn 20 signs/month;
3. Improve Health - Exercise 5 days a week to mitigate current health issues. Eat good food.
4. Declutter my house - Concentrate on office, workshop, utility room.  Be able to find what I have.
5. Travel - Plan New Zealand or Key West; Finish Delta Queen video, Finish Ireland photo book
6. Arts and Crafts - Watercolor Painting Lessons, Start Holiday card painting in June; Quilting design
